Warrior Tattoo2
Dog Warrior2 is my third tattoo design, offering a more whimsical and light-hearted approach, although the message still means business. I thought about this design for quite awhile before starting to work on it, and kept picturing it in my head. I was never able to commit to getting my first Dog Warrior design, although I've seen it on a couple other animal advocates and loved it on them. This tattoo will go on my right inner wrist. I have the Rescue Angel tattoo on my left inner wrist. For this design, I pulled the dog's face from my rescue angel, and brought in a meditative stance for the woman with sword in hand, implying that we go inside to bring the power of a greater force with us in this fight for (Wo)Man's Best Friend. For me these tattoos are so much more than tattoos, and that's why I do it. They are my promise to the animals that I will fight for them for the remainder of my lifetime. They symbolize my commitment to bettering their lives. While I do not know exactly how I will advocate for them in the future, I know I always will. I've never been as fulfilled as I've been since starting this journey with the animals. To stand for those who cannot stand for themselves is a noble undertaking. I know many of you are on this trip with me, and I'm glad for your company. Gird up! We're taking it all the way, and we're staying focused until (Wo)Man's Best Friend is indeed just that...and not just another piece of garbage tossed out on a chain or dumped along the road when this country's "citizens" are done with them. Together we can win America's dogs their rights to fair treatment, a life in the home, and a family. |
